Student Success

Student Success

The University of Leeds is committed to reducing inequalities in higher education at every stage of the student journey.

We work closely with our students to understand their experiences and opinions and make sure they influence university strategies and policies. We are also keen to work with other universities to share good practice.

Our Access and Student Success Strategy sets out in detail how we will tackle these issues, from accessing higher education to ensuring all students feel they belong and can thrive, through to creating equal opportunities once they graduate.

A proportion of our students come from backgrounds that are under-represented at university. Research shows these students are less likely to get into university, complete their course, achieve as highly academically or accomplish the same graduate employment rates as their peers.
