This
is the final part of the research programme whose aim is twofold:
to
bring together the findings from the earlier projects in the
programme;
to
discuss the findings with different local and national groups.
There
will be three stages:
Stage
One: The Citizens’ Dialogues
We
will return to each of the localities in which we did the
original research and discuss our findings with a group of
about thirty people. These groups will include many of out
interviewees from the Strand 3 and 5 projects along with key
relevant local figures and media. The results of the discussion
will be incorporated into our findings for the next stage.
Stage
Two: Feedback Forums
Two
Feedback Forums will be held in London in order to target
the dissemination of the programme’s findings at key audiences
and to encourage dialogue between the research group and these
audiences.
Feedback
Forum A
A
London-based discussion group, with key representatives of
relevant professional groups, voluntary organisations, and
local authorities.
Feedback
Forum B
A
London-based discussion group, composed of policy-makers and
politicians.
Stage
Three: Final Report and Recommendations
The
research findings and the above discussions will be drawn
together into the programme’s recommendations of key principles
for the development of a new normative framework for future
social policies in the area of care, intimacy and family life.
