Access and Community Engagement

Leeds for Life Citizenship Awards

Have you, or do you know someone who has volunteered or taken an accredited module that has benefited wider society from the local community to international work?

If so, we want to hear about it. This is your chance to make sure that you, or someone you feel has made an outstanding contribution in their field, receive recognition from the University.

These awards are to mark one of the ways in which our students contribute to the community. Each year the University of Leeds and Leeds University Union have over 2,000 students engaging in voluntary work or accredited placements that support our values of community and inclusiveness.
Hosted by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Student Education, Professor Vivien Jones, the awards evening acknowledges the significant commitment and achievements of our students. The evening also recognises the support and encouragement our students have received from the voluntary and community organisations that provide placements.

Six awards in total will be presented and the 2012 awards are to be held on the 26th April and the nomination form can be downloaded here. Please return all nominations by email to Sarah Stephenson at s.stephenson@adm.leeds.ac.uk or by post to:
