Higher Education Experience Days
Higher Education Experience Days (and half-days) run throughout the year and are aimed at Year 9 and 10 pupils and similar events can be organised for different year groups. The day is fun-based with plenty of opportunity for hands-on activity but also provides a thought-provoking introduction to higher education. A typical day includes:
- a tour of the University campus
- interactive workshops to explore routes into HE, choosing a university, benefits of HE and finance sessions
- a chance to meet and work with current undergraduates
- a hands-on session in an academic department
- group work with competitions and prizes
