Out of School Activities
Recruiting: Recruiting now for the academic year 2012-13.
Requirement: 1-2 hours once a week for 6 - 10 weeks depending on the project
Training: Compulsory, provided by the Access Academy
An increasing number of clubs and activities for pupils are run outside of normal teaching hours. These clubs extend school provision with additional educational, creative and sporting opportunities, offered through breakfast, lunch-time and after school clubs. Clubs take place in both primary and secondary schools and cover a range of subjects such as ICT, art, sports, languages, and study skills.
Schools are always grateful to volunteers who can give a helping hand with the extended schools programme either by supporting an existing activity or setting up something new.
Why not get a group of friends together and start your own club? Whatever your interest, if you think that pupils would share in your enthusiasm for it, the Access Academy would like to hear from you.
The experience and skills you will develop will look great on your CV and significantly increase your employability potential. Access Academy will be on hand to provide you with the guidance you need to see your project through
