Strategy & Planning (S&P)

Strategy & Planning supports the University's planning process and has a key role in monitoring performance. Main areas of responsibility:
  1. Operation and management of the Resource Allocation and Overhead Charging Model (RAM).
  2. Analysis and interpretation of HEFCE funding announcements.
  3. Student number planning and student-related MI.
  4. Statutory returns to HEFCE and HESA.
  5. Analysis of externally produced performance information.
  6. Development of management information systems to support university planning.
  7. Managing the strategy review processes, including the Integrated Planning Exercise (IPE), Annual Theme Reviews, Corporate Service Reviews and VCEG Strategy Overview Meetings.
  8. Planning and organisation of the Quinquennial Development Exercise.
  9. Support for Groups and academic development projects as required.
