We offer four taught MA degrees:

• MA Medieval History
• MA Modern History
• MA Race and Resistance
• MA Social and Cultural History

All of these degrees:

• develop your communication skills
• expand your analytical techniques
• train you in research methods
• allow you to undertake an extended piece of historical research of 15,000 words on a subject of your choice
• can be taken over one year full-time, or two years part-time

If you are interested in PhD study, all our taught MA programmes prepare you for doctoral research and qualify for external funding.
