Student ambassadors on campus

University employment opportunities are tailored to fit around your studies, develop your skills, and give you valuable work experience. Below are some examples.

Research scholarships

Each year the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures offers paid research scholarships. These are prestigious and highly competitive. Students receive training, support and mentoring whilst they contribute to major research work.

Employment as a student guide or ambassador

We employ student guides to help us organise and deliver events for local schools; such as taster days, revision days, and summer schools. Student guides share their subject knowledge in academic taster sessions, take school children on tours of the campus, and assist in general University open days. These opportunities provide you with excellent transferable skills and are great for your CV, particularly if you're considering a career in teaching, or interested in events management or education administration.

School interns

School interns work on a range of projects inside the School. These have included communications, alumni relations, administration, student engagement, School newsletter and research internships.

Leeds for Life internships

Leeds for Life paid internships will develop significant organisational, networking and marketing skills to enhance your employability and provide you with excellent opportunities to make a significant impact on your fellow students experiences.
