We offer Single and Joint Honours degrees. Our Joint Honours programmes are very popular as they allow you to combine the study of a modern language with another subject: another language, Music, Politics, English, Philosophy - over 245 options in total!

You can also shape either type of degree with elective modules. Electives are studied in conjunction with your main degree. These can often be in any subject you choose on top of the mandatory modules of your main subject. For example, you could study Joint French & Politics, with additional electives in Film Studies, Animal Behaviour and Psychology - with the University of Leeds having the most undergraduate courses in the UK, how you choose to study is only limited by your imagination!

In addition to our ten main languages, you can also study a number of additional languages, for example, Bulgarian, Czech, Mongolian, Berber, Greek, Dutch, Hebrew, Norwegian, Polish, Punjabi, and Urdu.
