Research culture

A key part of this successful research culture, the School of Humanities is committed to research excellence, productivity and the international development of its three disciplines.

Staff in the constituent departments (Classics, Philosophy, and Theology and Religious Studies) continue to publish world-class collections of books and articles in refereed journals, to exercise significant responsibilities in national and international research bodies, editorial boards, and international research groupings of various sorts, and to achieve an impressive record of research grant capture.
