MA Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (full time / part time)

The multi-disciplinary MA Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies is an exciting programme which allows you to deepen your understanding of, and explore the connections between, the cultural, political, religious and historical dimensions which contribute to the making of the modern Middle East and North Africa. In addition to the core study of Islam and Politics, the course covers a wide range of subject areas, allowing you to study the region from diverse disciplinary and topical perspectives. This MA is unique in its scope, as it offers modules exploring various aspects of contemporary Islam as well as the study of the Middle East and North Africa in terms of politics, history, and culture. The MA also offers the opportunity to learn Arabic at all levels of proficiency and Persian languages.
