A wide range of careers options

By studying French at Leeds, you will gain outstanding knowledge of the language and culture of one of the most important economies in Europe. Through your broad training in analytic and communication skills, your development of an excellent knowledge of French, and your experience of living and studying or working in French or a range of francophone countries (such as Belgium, Switzerland, French Canada, Guyana, Mayotte, Senegal or the French Caribbean), you will greatly enhance your employability and gain a distinctive set of skills which will prepare you for whatever career you choose. Our graduates go on to achieve success in a very wide range of fields, including law, business, finance, tourism, civil service and diplomacy, journalism, publishing, translating and interpreting, teaching and academia.

Our aim is for all our students to graduate not only with a deep knowledge of French language and culture, but also with the skills and experience required for the career of their choice.
