Leeds German graduate careers

We aim to help our students to become competent and confident users of the German language, to develop critical thinking skills and to find employment that reflects their abilities and ambitions. Through research-led teaching students explore core questions of their chosen subject and develop the ability to find answers to complex questions and solutions to real problems - 'graduateness'.

Careers

Students of German are consistently amongst the most sought-after graduates for major employers such as Siemens, KPMG and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Other students work in Government Service, the European Union, international journalism, broadcasting, overseas development work, financial services, advertising, teaching and social work, human resources and law, or go on to do a higher professional qualification (MA) at Leeds in specialist language skills such as interpreting and translation.

We work closely with the University Careers Centre which hold a number of events throughout the year.
