All members of Russian and Slavonic Studies are active in a wide range of research fields covering the literature, culture and society of the Russia and Slavonic countries. Our teaching is informed by our research, enabling us to share our enthusiasm and ensuring memorable classes. We also have a vibrant and expanding postgraduate community and have been particularly successful in recent years in securing postgraduate scholarships with the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Colleagues in Russian and Slavonic Studies are also founders of the Leeds Russian Centre, a collaborative, multi-disciplinary research centre bringing together the academics across the university working in fields related to Russian Studies, under a shared research agenda, ‘Russia(n) in the Global Context’.
The department runs a series of seminars under the general title of Re: New Russia. For more information about this series, please contact Dr Vlad Strukov (firstname.lastname@example.org).
