About us
View pages in this documentThe Leeds Humanities Research Institute (LHRI) was established in 2005 to promote innovative and interdisciplinary research across the Faculty of Arts at the University of Leeds, one of the largest research centres in the UK.
We play a major role in building humanities research across the Faculty, working closely with academics in the preparation of grant applications and showcasing their research.
In addition the LHRI houses the Faculty's Graduate School which was established in 2007 to bring together postgraduate students from disciplines across the Faculty of Arts to mix and exchange ideas. We provide a range of facilities and offer training courses, particularly in 'professionalisation' or preparation for a career in academia.
The LHRI is a member of the Consortium of Institutes of Advanced Studies (CIAS).
