International Writers at Leeds

International Writers at Leeds is an exciting programme of public readings by writers from around the world. We've hosted writers from Switzerland (Christian Kracht), Canada (Erin Moure), Galicia (Chus Pato), Italy (Massimo Carlotto), Germany (Clemens Meyer, Holger Ehling, Sudabeh Mohafez) and Spain (Antonio Altarriba, El Chojín), with more to come. Readings are friendly, often bilingual, and there's always a chance to meet the author.

International Writers at Leeds is organised by the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of Leeds in partnership with Leeds City Library.

We're also grateful to a range of cultural organisations, among them ProHelvetica, the Instituto Camões, the Yorkshire Network for Canadian Studies and the DAAD, for helping us to bring the exciting programme to Leeds.
