IDEA Centre

We are welcoming four new PhD students to the IDEA Centre.

Our confirmed PhD students are Michael Cannon, Sophie Goddard, Zach Gudmunsen and Gabriela Arriagada Bruneau.

Michael comes to us from Aarhus University, Denmark. He joined us in May 2018, and is writing on machine metaethics under Dr Vincent Mueller.

Both Sophie and Zach are joining the IDEA Centre in October 2018. Sophie is joining us from Sheffield University, and is writing on care ethics, love and over-demandingness, supervised by Dr Rob Lawlor and Dr Natasha McKeever.

Zach is joining us from Bilkent University, Turkey, and researching whether artificial intelligence can develop ethical intuitions. He is to be supervised by Dr Mueller.

Gabriela is starting in December 2018, to be supervised by Dr Mueller on the ethics of big data. She is joining us from Edinburgh University and Santiago de Chile.

We are looking forward to our new PhD students joining the IDEA Centre research community.
