Research interests

Cultural productions in Australia until 1950 and the idea of the Australian nation, including literature, journalism, travel narratives, film, poetry and cookery books.  My thesis focuses on specific examples of individuals eating and talking about food as a means of situating themselves within a national narrative of belonging.
