Why did you choose to study English at Leeds?
I chose to study English Language at Leeds mainly because of the course content and the reputation of the University. I can choose most of the modules I want to study. This has enabled me to study modules in the Performing Arts, Law, French and Theology. Furthermore, the University of Leeds is part of the Russell Group. This will broaden my career opportunities.
What are the highlights of studying at Leeds?
The modules are taught by professors and lecturers who are experts in their field. The members of staff are very supportive and are always willing to advise you even if they do not teach you personally. Also, modules are delivered in different ways across the University. This varies from large lectures and presentations to role plays and individual/group work, making learning much more interactive.
How have you benefited from studying at Leeds?
I have developed as a person, met people from all over the world and been given the opportunity to help the School of English by representing students here. Also I have secured an internship with Ernst and Young so hopefully, I should have a job offer after my second year. I believe that I will be able to achieve my ambitions and full potential through my studies at the University of Leeds.
