BEI Conference Services

Since 1997, the British Education Index has provided a range of information services to support academic research conferences in the field of Education. These comprise a listings service, individual conference programmes, a very large archive of conference programmes and several thousand full papers in the Education-line collection.

BEI Conference Programmes

Conferences that are about to take place, are currently in progress, or which have recently taken place have their conference programmes searchable on an individual basis, so that rooms, times, abstracts and other details can be checked on-line. Search the current set

BEI Conference Archive

Once the conference itself has finished, the main details of author, title, abstract and conference are transferred to an archive database. A full text of the paper is linked to this database whenever authors have deposited their work. The archive database currently holds over 15,000 records. Search the archived set

BEI Conference Listings

The conference listings service presents a freely accessible calendar for education and training related conferences as notified by their organisers and giving information about conference locations, content, fees and contact details.

The service provides a medium through which conference organisers can broadcast information about their conferences and events, and interested parties worldwide can identify events of interest to them. The service lists conferences and seminars that have a professional focus and which provide research, practice or policy insights relevant to education in the UK. Current listings are freely available here. This page is consulted by approximately 5,000 users per month.
