INTRODUCTION

Boxmind Background

The Boxmind company is based in Oxford. They first produced an E-lecture
Collection from “leading” academics (e.g. Richard Dawkins and Susan
Greenfield). They then went on to release the software they had developed,
called "Enlighten", as a tool for creating online video presentations.

Boxmind's software, Enlighten Professional, is an easy to use tool for creating online presentations by bringing together and synchronising some/all of the following:

· Video
· Text/transcript
· Slides and/or images
· Animation
· Links

How it Works

Authors bring together video clips with text/transcripts and image slides in one presentation (see diagram below). Students are then able to watch synchronised video clips, text and accompanying slides in one presentation. Example from Boxmind
