  • ...Irna specialises in researching cultural diversity among ethnic minority audiences in the fields of arts, heritage, media and social policy. Her experience includes research, consultation, audience development, community outreach, evaluation, oral history and curatorial work. She has worked on a variety of projects about Asian and Muslim communities in Britain for TV and numerous government departments. She has also curated several national oral history exhibitions about the heritage of British’s Asian communities. Her latest exhibition, The Great Trunk Road – from Delhi to the Khyber Pass, is currently on tour in the U.K. Using photography and oral histories, the exhibition look at the impact of this ancient trade and military route in the Indian Subcontinent, which travels through homeland of 90% of British Pakistanis, and the vast majority of British Sikhs and Hindus from the Indian Punjab. Irna holds an M.A. in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental Studies.

  • ...Aki Nawaz is an out spoken political and social activist brought up in Bradford.He approaches issues from an emotional and street level perspective in order to challenge the Establishment's perceptions of diverse communities. He resides as the head of the creative record label Nation Records, which has produced many artists embracing different cultures and musical forms, and was also the original drummer of the band "The Southern Death Cult", now the "The Cult". He also steers the band Fun Da Mental, which has created a platform globally to air their views and opinions in a contemporary musical arena, albeit in a controversial manner. Aki is regularly in the media, often appearing on a range of programmes from Newsnight to CNN, which allows him to provoke debate and highlight issues that some find uncomfortable to deal with. He is well travelled and has an unconventional perspective on a wide range of issues.
