- http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Internet/WWW/HTMLPrimer.html The NCSA (at UIUC) Beginners Guide to HTML. If you are thinking of learning HTML from scratch, this is probably the best place to start.
- http://www.w3.org The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) home page. The W3C are the group who define the standards for the World Wide Web. They have documentation on just about everything to do with the web.
- http://www.leeds.ac.uk/acom/interact/ The Interactive Web Pages documentation from the ACOM modules. This deals with more advanced aspects of HTML (frames, forms, image maps etc), and touches on JavaScript.

- http://burks.bton.ac.uk/ The BURKS project (Brighton University Resource Kit for Computer Science). Copies of the BURKS CD are available from the Computing Student Office (inside the School of Computing, Level 9, E.C. Stoner) at the bargain price of £5. If you are a module leader intending to recommend the purchase of BURKS to students, please inform Hannah, as we may need to order more copies.
