From November 2001-November 2002 the Case Project is running a trial of the British Library's Inside Web service, offering document delivery of journal articles and conference proceedings to legal academics in the Yorkshire and Humberside region (project partners). Documents are requested directly from the British Library and documents ordered are sent directly to participants. To take part in the trial, ask your Library contact. Why is this service being offered?
The Inside Trial offers a new, and innovative service as an alternative to traditional library services and inter-library loans. By using the British Library's Inside Web service, it is our intention to offer document delivery of journal articles and conference proceedings directly to the desktop. Your request for this item will be sent directly to the British Library and the document you ordered will be sent directly to you. The Case Project will examine the use made of this document delivery service in the one year trial period to explore the possible value of this product as a search, retrieve and document delivery tool for legal researchers and to evaluate the possible impact of such a tool on the community. How will I pay for documents?
In order to provide this trial service, the Case Project has a budget to cover both initial subscription charges and charges for documents.Guidelines for using the Inside service
