AHRC CentreCATH has run its course. The newly established CentreCATH at Leeds will continue to pursue the interests and ambitions of AHRC CentreCATH and you will shortly be able to find news of its activities at this URL: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/cath/

Archived AHRC CentreCATHwebsite

This website, at http://www.leeds.ac.uk/cath/ahrc/, now only exists as an archive to the Centre's past activities. The AHRC CentreCATH Web Pages (watermarked 'Archived' in red type) are no longer, from 2006, being maintained on behalf of CentreCATH and are retained for archival purposes only. As such their technical functionality and the integrity of the external links they contain is likely to decay.

The AHRC and CentreCATH

The AHRC funds postgraduate training and research in the arts and humanities, from archaeology and English literature to design and dance. AHRC Research Centres provide a focus for collaborative research in areas of strategic importance. Although the social and natural sciences have long had access to funding to establish centres of research expertise, it was not until the launch of the AHRC's Research Centres Scheme that researchers in the arts and humanities have benefited from a similar opportunity. For further information please see www.ahrc.ac.uk

AHRC CentreCATH is one of a number of AHRC Research Centres which provide a focus for research activity in a field of study that is of strategic importance within a wider subject or disciplinary area.
