Revd Dr Michelle Briggs - Anglican Chaplain

Photo of Michelle Briggs Michelle has worked as a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Healthcare, since 2003 following the completion of her PhD. Her current research work includes a project to develop educational material for health professionals, and a clinical intervention to improve communication about pain for people from 5 faith groups (Jewish, Christian,Muslim Sikh and Hindu) funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and a project to explore the feasibility of developing Acorn Listening materials for people with long term medical conditions, funded by the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation.

 

In 2005, Michelle began training to become an ordained minister in the Church of England. As part of this training she currently works part-time in the Chaplaincy as a Curate. This means that she plays a full part in the work of the Chaplaincy, whilst continuing with her learning and development as a Church of England minister.
