If you have completed either of the following qualifications you will need to provide an academic transcript for that qualification when you apply:
The academic transcript will have been issued to you by your university and it should cover all the years of your course if possible, and at least the last two years of marks for a degree. The transcript should include:
We do not need the following:
If your university did not provide transcripts you will need a letter from them confirming this, to submit with your application. The letter should state that you were not issued with a transcript when you graduated and that the university cannot provide a transcript now. If possible, this letter should come from the Central Student Records Department of your university. We suggest that you contact your university as soon as possible to give them time to check their records and send you confirmation.
If you are an undergraduate when you apply you do not need to provide us with a transcript.
If, when you apply, you are currently doing a postgraduate conversion course to get GBC you do not need to provide us with any transcripts.
If, when you apply, you are currently studying with the Open University please see the When to Apply section for more information.
If your qualifications are not from the UK or Republic of Ireland you do not need to provide us with any transcripts. Instead, we will need a copy of the letter from the British Psychological Society confirming that you have Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
However, some course centres have further requirements for academic transcripts. To check whether the course centres you are interested in have such requirements, please see the Entry Requirements and Selection Procedure information for each course centre.
The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and the British Psychological Society recognise each other's undergraduate accreditation procedures so if your qualification makes you eligible for graduate membership of the PSI it will also give you GBC.
