All courses welcome applications from people with disabilities. We suggest, where appropriate, that you contact the course centres before you apply to check which courses can best meet your particular needs. If you are invited for a short-listing test or an interview day, or you are offered a place, please feel free to contact the relevant course centre staff team or University Disability Service to discuss any support needs you may have.
If you have any issues using our online application system please contact us to discuss how you can make an application eg for our support in using the online system, for an application in another format etc.
The Disability Symbol scheme (also known as "two-ticks" or "double-tick") is a scheme for employers who are positive about employing disabled people and who have made commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of disabled staff.
If you have a disability and you want to be considered under the scheme please indicate this in the Eligibility section of your application. Please note that not all course centres are involved in the scheme so this will only take effect if the courses you have applied to are participating. To check which course centres are involved, please see the Entry Requirements and Selection Procedure information for each course centre.
If you wish to give further details about your disability you can do so in the final question in the Personal Statements section of your application, but this is not a requirement. It is your decision whether or not to disclose a disability at any stage in the application process.
Any information you provide about a disability as part of our equal opportunities monitoring will NOT be passed on to the course centres at any stage of the application process. It will therefore NOT be considered as part of the Disability Symbol scheme.
If any applicant indicates that they want to be considered under the scheme but is subsequently found not to have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act, their application will be considered fraudulent and will be cancelled.
