COURSE CENTRES

You can only apply to these NHS funded courses through the Clearing House. You choose which course centres to apply to, up to a maximum of four.

All the courses are approved by the Health Professions Council and make you eligible to apply for registration with them as a clinical psychologist.  All the courses are also accredited by the British Psychological Society. The qualification is a doctoral level degree which combines academic and practical training, including both a research project and clinical placements.

Full-time Courses

The courses are all full-time for three years, except Edinburgh University who run a specialist training route alongside their three-year course. This route involves part-time training alongside part-time work, which together are equivalent to a full-time commitment. There are no courses that require only a part-time commitment and there are no distance learning courses.

These courses are very demanding so should not be combined with any other job or academic course.

Course Centres

Each course centre has provided the information about their course and they, not the Clearing House, are responsible for the details in this section of the website. The information is given in good faith and any queries should be directed to the Admissions Tutor or Administrator at the relevant course centre.

If you have problems accessing the internet please contact us to discuss how best you can obtain the information in the Course Centres section of our website.
