Interviews for NHS places* will be held between 16 March and 22 May 2020.
Please note: the interview dates for NHS places at the University of Essex have moved to 16-17 March 2020.
Interviews for self-funded places may be earlier or later. Please see the Courses section for further details about interview arrangements for self-funded places at individual courses.
We co-ordinate interview weeks with the courses to avoid significant clashes where possible. However, if you are invited to two interviews on the same day please contact the courses concerned to discuss this. If they are unable to help, please contact us for guidance (see the Contact Us page for our details).
If you wish to withdraw from an interview, or from an interview reserve list, you can do this when you login to your application. Withdrawing an application will automatically inform the course concerned.
If the status of your application is "Reserve for Interview" this means that you have been put on a reserve list by the course concerned. Reserve lists allow courses to fill interview slots when an invitation to interview is declined.
If an interview slot becomes available for you, the course will contact you by email, by phone or by post and give you further details. Your email software may treat emails from the courses as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly. The course will also update the status of your application from "Reserve for Interview" to "Selected for Interview".
The courses will let you know the results of any interviews for NHS places* as soon as they are able and by 29 May 2020 at the latest. They may do this by email, by phone or by post. Your email software may treat emails from the courses as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly. Also please ensure that you have provided your full postal address on your application.
You will also be able to see the result of any interviews when you login to your application. This information will only be made available after we have checked it with the course concerned, so you should normally hear from them before you get confirmation on our website. The status of your application will change to one of the following:
The Clearing House does not make decisions about who is offered a place: this is done by the courses.
Please see the Courses section for further details about the selection procedure and feedback policy of individual courses.
* People currently training as clinical psychologists are employed by the NHS. These arrangements may be amended for candidates entering training in 2020, but this is unclear at this stage. Please see the Funding page for more information.
