It is too late to apply for courses starting in autumn 2020: the closing date was 27 November 2019.
You cannot register or submit an application at this time of year.
The details currently on our website are for the autumn 2020 intake, and will be updated in September 2020 for the autumn 2021 intake, but you can see what's usually involved and start preparing if you wish. Some details may change for the next application cycle.
We send reminder emails in November about the closing date. Your email software may treat our emails as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly.
Please check your application before submitting it. Once you have submitted your application you cannot make changes, except to update your contact details.
If all the sections of your application are complete a Submit button will be on the first screen you see when you login, in the middle of the screen near the top.
Clicking the Submit button takes you to a screen with the following three questions and a final Submit button, in the middle of the screen:
Only when you answer all 3 questions and click this final Submit button will your application be submitted.
The first screen you see when you login gives you an overview of your application at any stage. You can also get to this screen by clicking Process in the menu across the top of any screen. This gives you the current status of your application, including a list of which sections are classed as complete. A tick means that you have answered all the mandatory questions in that section. It does not mean that the answers have been checked for you.
If you do not have a Submit button on this screen before the closing date then part of your application is incomplete. Please check the list to see which ticks are missing then complete the relevant sections.
When you have submitted your application you will see a screen confirming this and requesting payment of the processing fee. We will also email you to confirm that your application has been submitted. Your email software may treat our emails as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly.
We need to charge a processing fee because we cover all our costs through the fees we charge to applicants and to course centres.
Apply early and save £10.00!
The amount is not affected by how many courses you apply to, eg it is the same if you apply to one or if you apply to four.
All applications must be submitted by 1.00pm on 27 November 2019. If you choose the full £24.00 fee you can pay this after 27 November if necessary eg if the payment website is very busy at that time. However, we will not process your application until we receive the processing fee so please make your payment within a few days of submitting your application.
You can pay your processing fee by credit or debit card. Once you have submitted your application you will be directed to a separate payment website where you can "buy" your processing fee, which looks like this. (If you log back into your application later, you will still be able to access the website below by following the link on the first screen you see after you login.)
If you are using the payment website for the first time, you need to register before you can pay. If you already have an account on the payment website, eg if you have applied and paid in previous years, you need to login to that account. You can get a password reminder from the payment website if necessary. Your email software may treat emails from the payment website as junk or spam, so if you do not receive the password reminder email please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder.
Please use the same contact details for your payment as you used for your application. This allows us to match your payment to your application. If you already have an account on the payment website you may need to update the contact details for that account.
Once you have paid, the payment website will send you an email to confirm. Your email software may treat emails from the payment website as junk or spam, so if you do not receive the confirmation email please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder.
Your payment is then automatically matched with your application OVERNIGHT. If the payment cannot be matched automatically eg if you have used different contact details to those on your application, it will need to be matched manually which can take 2-3 weeks to complete.
Please note that all fees are non-refundable and that the Clearing House is not responsible for the processing of card payments.
By accepting your application we are not confirming your eligibility for entry to courses. The Clearing House can accept no responsibility for errors in the handling of applications howsoever caused.
