Only students of institutions who are formal members of the European
Nursing Module Network can access the European Nursing Module exchange
programme.
Application
is through their home institution. There are three exchange periods
per Network year (May to April)and these are in May, October and
March. Ideally, there will be exchange students from different countries
on an exchange together to further broaden the experience.
Each year, every member institution will confirm the number of
exchange placements they have for visiting students. Students are
required to make three choices of exchange destination. Completed
applications are then submitted to the Network Co-ordinator who
co-ordinates the placements of students. Whilst making every effort
to place students in their first choice, the placements are on a
first come, first served basis so this may not always be possible.
This is why students are asked to make THREE choices for exchange.
Where
at all possible, students from the host institution are encouraged
to become involved with the exchange students. Students on exchange
visits are encouraged to take advantage of any cultural activities
made available to them.
Full funding for all student exchanges is not available through
the Network. This is an issue for the home institution or the individual
student though member institutions do try to keep costs to a minimum.
However the Network may award a maximum of four student exchange
grants per exchange period to help cover expenses.
