Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing uses telecommunications of audio and video to enable communication between different sites either for a meeting, conference or lecture. This can be as simple as a conversation between two people (point-to-point) or involve several sites (multi-point). As well as using audio and video for communication, documents and information on pc's e.g. Powerpoint presentations can be shared.

We currently have a purpose-built studio in the Roger Stevens Building which can hold up to 4 people. We also have a mobile system which can be used in some Roger Stevens lecture theatres as well as some other rooms across campus (please contact us for further details).

If you would like to book videoconferencing please complete this online booking form or download and email to eshelp@leeds.ac.uk We will contact the other sites involved and arrange a test call to ensure compatibility. A technician will be available throughout the videoconference to ensure everything runs smoothly. The cost of a videoconference is £50 per hour between 9am and 6pm Monday- Friday (additional charges apply outside these times).
