Environmental Management System

An environmental management system (EMS) helps us to identify and manage significant environmental impacts, improve efficiency and ensure that we comply with environmental legislation.

At the University of Leeds, we are currently in the process of moving from an informal EMS to a formal EMS. We are currently going through phase one of BS 8555 with the hope to get ISO 14001 accredititation in two years time.
