Maintenance and Operations

Maintenance and Operations is responsible for developing maintenance policy and strategy, ensuring that the Estate is maintained in a safe condition and in compliance with statutory regulations and associated approved codes of practice and guidance.

The M &O section provides the University of Leeds with all services relating to the operation and maintenance of building structures and associated building engineering services, gardens and sports grounds facilities; encompassing both planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

Our aim is to provide first class services and facilities in order to deliver a high quality and value for money service to support Teaching, Learning and Research. This supports the Estates Strategic Management Plan and links directly to the University Strategy Map.

The delivery of all reactive services is supported via a Service Level Agreement with the Academic and Residential community, with the SLA responses prioritised within the Computerised Asset Management system, (SAP PM). The Maintenance & Operations section, in conjunction with the Estate Services' Helpdesk, administers and manages all reactive works/service requests received from students, staff and other stakeholders throughout the University of Leeds. These work requests are subsequently routed to either our DLO/AMT operation or directly to our external service providers, as appropriate.

For further guidance as to the availability of services offered via the section, please refer to the additional sections under the Maintenance and Operations header.

If you require one of our services, please contact the Estates' Helpdesk or make a request for work directly via the web entry screen SAP online.
