A collaborative event highlighting the nationally recognised expertise available to support the design and delivery of successful, high quality surgical trials.

You are invited to join this unique collaborative event to hear about the range of surgical trial activity currently being led from within Yorkshire and The Humber. Find out more about the nationally-recognised expertise available to surgeons and trainees within the Yorkshire and Humber region to support the design and delivery of successful, high quality surgical trials.

The event is jointly hosted by the region’s two Royal College of Surgeons Surgical Trials Centres based at the Universities of Leeds and York, the NIHR Clinical Research Network Yorkshire & Humber, the NIHR Research Design Service Yorkshire and Humber, and the Yorkshire Surgical Research Collaborative.

The event is aimed at both established research surgeons and surgical trainees embarking on a research career path, and aims to provide attendees with a clear understanding of key considerations in the development and delivery of new surgical research ideas; outline funding opportunities (including training opportunities); showcase the range of expertise and support available within the region to help identify priorities in surgical research, and develop and deliver exciting new research ideas. There will be opportunities on the day to discuss opportunities and barriers to surgical research, as well as the chance for more informal discussions about new research ideas or research career development goals with members of the Surgical Trials Centre teams and NIHR RDS.

Attendance is free and refreshments will be provided. For further information and to register, please visit the Eventbrite page.
