The annual Millennium Square Summer Series returns for a fourth year in July and August 2018, serving up a jam-packed programme of outdoor live concerts together with a free community festival.

The annual Millennium Square Summer Series returns for a fourth year in July and August 2018, serving up a jam-packed programme of outdoor live concerts, kicking off with hip-hop artist Plan B on 20th July and 80s pop-icon Tony Hadley on 21st July.
The acclaimed Orchestra of Opera North will take over Millennium Square with Opera North in the City, a three-day open air classical festival presenting the Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics on 27 July, a classical / club crossover featuring dance music legends Robin S, Utah Saints, Alison Limerick and more.
A Classic Summers Evening on 28 July with acclaimed tenor Rafael Rojas will follow, with Brassed Off Live on 29 July, a special screening of the 1996 comedy drama with the score performed live in sync by the true stars of the film, the Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
Throughout August, an incredible line-up of artists will take to the stage, starting on 3 August with the iconic rock band The Pretenders and their special guests the Lightning Seeds. Global 80s icons Bananarama and a DJ set by TV/Radio star Sara Cox will then follow on 4 August.
This summer will also see the return of one the most popular club nights in the city as the legendary Brutus Golds Love Train stops at Millennium Square on 10 August for a Summer Disco Party to remember! Also performing on 11 August is one of the most successful British bands ever, Simple Minds joined by Scottish star KT Tunstall.
Last but not least, one of the UKs most loved pop bands The Vamps and special guests New Hope Club will be playing their smash hits on 12 August, bringing a close to the 2018 summer series of live concerts.
Millennium Square will also be hosting numerous free community festivals featuring live music and street food including; ¡Vamos!, Leeds, celebrating Spanish and Portuguese speaking cultures on 22 July, Leeds Jazz Festival, making its return for a second year with a two-day free music programme on 23 and 24 July, Sounds of Asia on 1 August and Leeds Pride, the annual LGBT Pride celebration on 5 August.
