The Young People and Adults’ Certificate will develop your coaching skills and knowledge base, allowing you to deliver the game of cricket to developing players in a fun and enjoyable way.

This course is designed to develop your coaching skills and knowledge base, allowing you to deliver the game of cricket to developing players in a fun and enjoyable way.

Coaching young people and adults is a challenging and enormously rewarding role . Players need expertise, support and passion at every level of their development; this course is designed with your players’ needs at its core.

Completing this qualification allows you to work independently with clubs or schools. A CRB check completed through the ECB is required as part of this course, this will be discussed and completed during the course.

What you will learn:

  • Knowledge and understanding to lead coaching sessions for young people and adults
  • How to create a safe, enjoyable and stimulating player-centred coaching environment

Who Should Attend: Coaches who are going to predominantly coach young people and adults (13 years+).

You are required to have a valid First Aid certificate completed within three years prior to the course start date. If you aren’t first aid qualified, we offer the following courses at the University: Fundamentals of First Aid First Aid for Sport & Active Leisure.

Candidates are required to bring a minimum of 4 players to the assessment date. Candidates must attend every day of the course, complete home-study online e-module tasks in between modules and six sessions of supported practice in your own club coaching environment.
