We are pleased to welcome two speakers from very different subject areas to discuss their experience of publishing preprints in their respective research areas.
Cecile De Cat is a Professor of Linguistics in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. She is also Professor at the Arctic University of Norway (UiT) in Tromsø and leads the Speech and Language action project group at the Centre for Applied Education Research.
Cecile will be talking about publishing preprints in linguistics and including sharing data and code.
Dr Chris Wareing from the School of Physics and Astronomy is a computational fluid dynamicist, with expertise in hydrodynamic and magneto-hydrodynamic numerical modelling through finite difference and spectral method.
Chris will be discussing his experiences of publishing preprints in astrophysics, mathematics and engineering and how that has included sharing data, code and open peer review.
