Transforming Cultural Heritage
The goal of the Transforming Cultural Heritage project is to explore and develop new technologies with the heritage industries and to analyse their cultural impact
The goal of the Transforming Cultural Heritage project is to explore and develop new technologies with the heritage industries and to analyse their cultural impact - transforming the way heritage is understood, preserved and experienced in galleries, museums and heritage sites, as well as across the sciences, arts and humanities. Our aim is to build a world-leading centre for research and training in heritage as a philosophical, human, social, cultural and technological practice.
To initiate our project we are organising a two-day seminar on that will bring together stakeholders with an interest in the theorisation, curation, preservation and performance of tangible and intangible heritage in order to discuss and develop research collaborations and funding bids. The seminar will include project presentations, information sessions on funding opportunities, and workshops, and is scheduled for 20th-21st May 2011.
