Carey Young has become recognised for her works across a variety of media
which investigate the increasing incorporation of the personal and public
domains into the realm of the commercial. Young«s projects often centre
on
notions of language, training and performance, and take an ambiguous
political stance in order to create a web of complex associations and
questions for the viewer. At Index, Young will show a variety of recent
works.
Carey Young, born in 1970, graduated from the Royal College of Art in
1997. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions at venues
including the Whitechapel Gallery (London), the ICA (London), and the
Munich Kunstverein
