Four full and part-time MSc programmes are offered within the MTP:
MSc in Transport Engine Emissions
A new MSc based on one-week block modules,
thus making part-time study an easy option. The
programme has been developed for a specific
industrial market in the European Automotive
Powertrain Industry. It is based on the long
established CPD courses in Diesel and Spark Ignition
Engine Emissions. Full time and part time students will
study the exact same programme delivered by intense CPD
short course modules.
MSc in Combustion and Emissions Control
Another new MSc based on one-week block
modules. The programme is aimed at the gas turbine,
burner and furnace industries and is based on the
long established CPD courses in Combustion &
Emissions. Full time and part time students will study the
exact same programme delivered by intense CPD short course
modules.
MSc in Environmental Pollution Control
Gives training in the environmental consequences
of industrial water and air pollution from the
energy industries, including waste disposal and
incineration. It is offered by the Department of
Fuel & Energy in collaboration with
other departments including Chemical Engineering and
Civil Engineering. Part-time students study on a day
release basis plus options using CPD courses.
MSc in Combustion and Energy
Offered through the Centre for Combustion and
Energy, the MSc is aimed at the combustion problems
of sustainable energy supply. Part-time students
study on a day release basis plus options using CPD
courses.
