The full legal name that the University has recorded for you is the name that will appear on your degree certificate. Once you are awarded, amendments to names cannot be made.
We recommend that the name on your degree certificate matches your other legal documents such as passport, birth certificate and driving licence. To change your legal name please go to the Counter in the Student Service Centre with proof of your legal name or email a scanned copy to ssc@leeds.ac.uk
Have I passed my degree/diploma?
Awards will be released on the 1st July 2013.
It is your own responsibility to check that you have been officially awarded. The main July pass lists will be published online on the Student Portal for a limited time from the 1st July 2013. In the event that you have been unsuccessful, your invitation to attend a degree ceremony will be considered withdrawn.
Have I ordered my gown?
Please see the academic dress section.
Do I want to appeal my classification?
If you intend to appeal or you are pursuing an appeal you must not have your degree conferred either at a ceremony or in absentia. This means that you must not attend a ceremony and must ensure that your certificate is not posted to you. If you do, your appeal will be void. Please refer to the Students' Handbook for full details of the Appeals Procedure and the action that you need to take. You should contact us if you intend to appeal your results at graduation@leeds.ac.uk so we can ensure that your certificate is not posted out.
