Great HallThe University campus is fully accessible including the Great Hall and the Leeds University Union Building, which have lift and wheelchair access. Please see the campus map for the buildings you will need, disabled parking bays and wheelchair accessible routes around the University campus.

The Great Hall
Directions to the Great Hall can be found here.

Degree ceremonies are held on the first floor of the Great Hall which is accessible via a lift. Portering Staff will be on hand to offer assistance once inside the hall. The Great Hall is also fitted with an induction loop system.

If you are a student who will be graduating and you are unable, or do not wish to use the steps to the stage, there is a platform lift available. If you choose not to go on stage you can arrange for the Presiding Officer to come down the steps where you will be presented with your certificate. To discuss this further please email graduation@leeds.ac.uk . It may also be useful to see a previous webcast.

At the end of the ceremony, all graduates will process down the centre aisle behind the academic procession, out of the Great Hall. Students needing lift access can follow behind until reaching the end of the centre aisle, where a right turn will need to be made. Once it is clear you can make your way back down the centre aisle and out via the main lift.
