Tickets
Graduands need to register their attendance for the degree ceremony by following the instructions here. Registration does not open until May 2012. During registration students are able to request their guest tickets at a maximum of 2 per student. Tickets are available for collection from the degree ceremonies Ticket Desk in the Leeds University Union Building. Tickets will not be issued until 90 minutes before the ceremony start time.
Students need to print off their summary page after completing the online registration via the Student Portal and exchange it for their tickets on the day.
There will be strictly no admission to the Great Hall without a ticket and there are no exceptions to the rule. Guest seating is not numbered but guests will be seated by the University Portering staff in the Great Hall, excluding the seating area reserved for graduands.
Your tickets will not be posted to you.
Extra Tickets
Due to the limited capacity of the Great Hall, each student is only guaranteed an allocation of up to 2 guest tickets which they have to apply for during the registration process online.
Students will be able to express their interest in extra tickets by submitting a request form. The form will be available on this page from 10am on the 27th June until 5pm on the 29th June (requests received before or after this will NOT be considered).
The allocation of extra tickets will be on a first come first served basis. Students will be informed via email to their graduation email address, submitted during the registration process, if they have been successful or not in due course thereafter.
Please be aware that unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will be extra tickets available for every ceremony.

Live Viewing
We are aware that most graduands like to bring more than two people along to their graduation day. The University does provide a live feed of each ceremony which will be available for guests who are not able to get into the hall. This will be shown in the Rupert Beckett Lecture Theatre in the Michael Sadler Building.
This feed is also free to view online at www.leeds.ac.uk/webcast
The degree ceremonies are filmed for DVD production and for the webcast. By attending the ceremony all graduands and their guests are deemed to accept this practice and waive any right they may have in these activities.
