SDDU – Develop your knowledge
and work skills
The Staff and Departmental Development Unit (SDDU) runs a varied programme
of seminars, courses and workshops for personal and professional development.
The courses are available for University staff and postgraduate research
students, and there is often no charge.

LOGIK centre
The centre aims to get non-traditional learners back into studying just
about anything they want. The courses include Spanish, wine tasting and
yoga, so you can improve your teamwork and social skills while learning
something new.
ISS
training
Training on IT issues and software packages including SAP and BANNER.
SRDS – the staff review and development scheme
All staff will take part in the staff review and development scheme. It’s
an annual review which gives you an opportunity to look back at your successes
and difficulties over the past year, and to plan your objectives for the
future.
Reseacher training and
development
An outstanding range of training and development workshops and opportunities
for postgraduate research students.
