Contribution pay

The University is keen to reward excellence, and contribution payments are an important way of doing this. These payments are intended to reward staff for their personal contribution, and can be made in several ways:

- Additional scale increments within the normal pay scales
- Discretionary increments above the top of the normal incremental points
- One-off payments

The first step in applying for contribution pay is to fill in the relevant contribution pay application form. Please note that there is now a designated application form (CP2) which should be used by staff employed in Corporate Services (excluding Facilities Directorate). All other staff should complete application form CP1.

Individuals can use this form to apply for a payment for themselves, and managers can use it to recommend a payment for an employee. These payments can be one-off awards or an ongoing addition to their pay.

Take a look at the salary scales to see where your current salary fits within your grade.
