Leeds Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS) is a multi-disciplinary Institute that delivers applied health research, professional training and teaching programmes aimed at enhancing health and health care nationally and internationally.
Situated within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Leeds, Institute staff include social scientists, psychiatrists and other clinicians, clinical psychologists, economists, statisticians and allied health professionals. A multidisciplinary approach underpins all our Research, Learning and Teaching and Knowledge Transfer activities.
LIHS has partnerships with a wide range of organisations and institutions in the UK and overseas. The Institute also has important links with a wide range of other groups within the University, in particular the Clinical Trials Research Unit, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and the Institute of Psychological Sciences . These partnerships ensure that research and policy are integrated with practice and professional development.
