Postgraduate Opportunities

Leeds Institute of Health Sciences offers a range of taught postgraduate and continuing professional development opportunities which are integrated with, and informed by, our research interests. Our areas of expertise include community based medical education, primary care, public health, international health, mental health and behavioural sciences, and family therapy. Our courses in health research, health economics and healthcare systems development are underpinned by our methodological expertise.

Our priorities are the provision of education to the local NHS and healthcare workforce and, more remotely, to work with international partners in supporting global health, especially in lower and middle income countries. We are continually exploring opportunities to develop off site teaching, especially in low income countries, and seek to build local institutional educational capacity with international partners. Current projects run by the Nuffield Centre for International Health & Development include teaching collaborations with Tanzania, Sudan and India.
