The University campus is ten minutes by foot from the heart of Leeds city centre. Here's how to find the city, and the campus.

Air

Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds and Bradford International Airport (LBA) and Manchester International Airport. Regular flights are available from a huge number of European and International cities.

Leeds Bradford Airport is approximately 7 miles away from the University, and is well served by taxis. The cost is approximately £15 (22 Euros) from the airport to the city and campus.

Rail, Bus or Coach

Leeds is at the hub of the UK rail network with fast and frequent services to London (2 hours 20 mins), Manchester Airport (1.5 hours), Manchester (1 hour), Newcastle (1 hour 30mins), Birmingham (2 hours), Hull (1 hour).

The campus is five minutes by taxi from the railway station, or a pleasant twenty minute walk.

Once at either the train, bus or coach station, it takes about 10-20 minutes to walk to the University. You may wish to download a city centre map which will help you find us. See City Centre map in PDF

Getting from the railway station to Campus

The University campus is a pleasant twenty minute walk from Leeds city station. Follow the directions below:

Come out of the station into City square; with the Queens Hotel behind you, walk straight up Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction, The Headrow. Turn right and walk along The Headrow, past the Light shopping centre on your left. At the end of The Light centre turn left up Woodhouse Lane. Follow this road up, passing Morrisons supermarket on your right, Leeds Metropolitan University on your left - and the Dry Dock boat pub on an island on your right! The University campus begins in another 50 metres or so on your left. To reach the Parkinson building, carry on up Woodhouse Lane to the clocktower building (see City Centre map in PDF)

Car Parking Information

Pay per entry at the University Main Entrance (£3.50) subject to availability. Other parking spaces near to the university: the NCP car park located near to the east side of campus
